There are two different modules to choose from, named Academic and General Training respectively. \u00a0While the General Training test is usually taken by those who want to migrate to English-speaking countries, the Academic module is more suitable for students who want to attend universities where English is a means of communication. The results of the test are reported as band scores from 1 (the lowest) to 9 (the highest), and each test consists of four components: listening, reading, writing and speaking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last month, in Hong Kong, I took the &#8220;Academic Module&#8221; exam and the result was beyond my expectations: I scored 8 as overall band, with 9 in reading (100%) and 8.5 in listening (98%).
