Usually we have to choose between two different things such as different jobs or different schools, it is an easy choice when we have an option that it is obviously better than the other, but what happens when we have to choose between two things on a par? The choice becomes harder because if we analyze our options we will find the same number of pros and cons, this makes a choice a hard choice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ability to make hard choices is really important because they determine who we are. When we make a choice we decide what it is better for us and we use our own knowledge. If we lived in a world without hard decisions some people think it would be easier because you always would have an easy choice and we would not have to think about it. As a consequence, we couldn\u2019t be in control of our lives, we would more be like computers. Some computers and other advance technologies have the capacity to solve problems and make decisions. Computers are analytical, however, they don\u2019t have any thought or feeling. We are not \u201cmachines\u201d: we have thoughts and emotions. At the end, to make a hard choice we have to feel it deep in our heart, when we make choices we have to use all our senses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We have to make difficult decisions because those are the most important choices in our lives. A choice doesn\u2019t necessarily have to change our lives completely. Many choices could be really common such as choosing between chilling with some friends or playing basketball with other friends, this couldn\u2019t be an example of hard decision because we could have fun in both situations with the same number of pros and cons. Our decision will determine what we want to do in that specific moment and in some cases who we really are.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When we have to make a decision we should imagine our life as a straight road, however sometimes this road has more exits, we have to think if we want to keep going straight or if we want to turn left or right, we can\u2019t see the end of these paths, we can just imagine where each road could go.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For me the hardest decision to make is when I have to choose between where I should be and where I would like to be. Sometimes I tell some friends I will go out with them but then some other friends propose to me something better to do, in that case it is really hard to make a decision. I usually don\u2019t remember to think about the consequences that a choice could have, if I did I would know what the right choice is. Sometimes I have trouble making correct choices because I could hurt someone. Sometimes I make selfish decisions because I think it will be more fun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our decisions, our choices make us who we are, sometimes we can make bad decisions because we are just humans and we are not perfect, but we have to understand that the choice we made was wrong and learn from it. However, we should always remember that as \u201cwriters\u201d of our lives, each time we make a decision we write a little piece of our story, we have to be careful because when we write on our life-book we use a pen, not a pencil. Once we have decided to write something it becomes pretty difficult to delete it completely.
