The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans and launched the modern environmental movement. Twenty years later, Earth Day went global, mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I think everyone has the ethical right to a healthy, balanced and sustainable world and environment. Ghandi said: \u201c<em>Thank God men can`t fly and devastate the sky as they did with the land<\/em>\u201d. Today air travel is starting to pollute the world. Marine oil pollution and cargo ship traffic with port pollution devastate the sea. We should slow down and control pollution better.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The world problem is overproduction.
