…as the best 2013-14 student of Italy.
by Dario Mazzone
Yesterday [november 15th] I went to the 67th National Congress of AFS Italy. It was beautiful!
We were in Parma, at the Royal Theatre, with important people such as the president of all AFS intercultural programs, the president of AFS Italy and the mayor of Parma.
They talked about the history of AFS (this year it is the 100th anniversary of its foundation), the new book “Dove sta la frontiera” and other important persons told us about their experiences.
It was touching, their stories helped me to understand what I should do in my future. After the conference there was the award ceremony of the people that have distinguished themselves overthe last year and they called me!
I was given an Honorable Mention as the best AFS student of Italy!
I want to thank all of you, the people that have made my year in Switzerland the best one that I’ve ever lived!
