I’m sitting next to the window looking at an amazing beautiful sunset with an entire rainbow rising above the stormy bay. From Howth to Bray the DART, a train system which crosses the city and goes straight into woods and upon sea cliffs, where dolphins and sea calves are playing acrobatic moves to complete this magic picture.
It’s 7:00 pm and another day in Ireland is finishing, in fact after our hard day, only 20 min by DART separate us from our Irish houses and our host families. [My Irish dad is the beach guardian. He and his wife have a son and a daughter] We live very close to the beach, at Shanghanan Cliff village in Shankill Beach, in the south of the bay.
Every morning, after the traditional Irish breakfast, we get ready to start a new day reaching Shankill DART station and travelling from the country side to the city center. Dublin is a true old fascinating metro city, is not so big and crowded but on the other hand it’s animated by its young population that moves around traditional pubs, barber shops and on the river side. As I’ve said many times to my friends here, there’s nothing special to visit in Dublin, we have to enjoy the atmosphere, cultural melting pot and the old style romanticism conveyed to us by the city of the black pond.
During the morning we usually visit the most relvant attractions and cultural places such as the Trinity College, the Guiness StoreHouse, Oscar Wilde house and the Spire.
After one hour break, we all meet at the Atlantic School in order to start our FCE four hours’ lessons. At the end we are satisfied with this day and we go back home, astonished at the wonderful lanscape.
